Move boats to and from the Showroom, and to and from the Featured space, as often as you like. It is all part of your monthly fee.

Think of it like your car garage
Say you run a car garage. Your showroom holds five cars, and one of those spaces is the window. Out the back you have a warehouse with more cars, and a corner where you clean and prep them. Wave & Wake works exactly the same way:
- A showroom space is a berth. Buyers can see the car, walk around it and make an offer. Each space you fill is one berth.
- The window is a Featured spot. Your best car, front and centre, seen first.
- The warehouse is your Stockroom. Cars buyers cannot see yet. Swap them into the showroom whenever you like to keep it fresh. Nothing in the Stockroom uses a berth.
- The prep corner is a Draft. Where you clean up a car before it goes out. Not for sale yet.
You might have 20 boats in stock, but you only pay for the ones in your showroom, your berths. The rest sit in your Stockroom without using a berth.

How does pricing work?
A fixed monthly plan based on berths, the number of boats you show to buyers at once, plus featured slots. Your Stockroom is unlimited and uses no berths, so only your live boats count. Plans run from Jetty up to Admiralty.
What exactly is a berth?
One boat live in front of buyers. A boat in your Showroom uses one berth. Boats in your Stockroom, drafts, sold and withdrawn boats use nothing. Move a boat out of the Showroom and the berth opens up again straight away.
If I buy Jetty (7 berths), can I only sell 7 boats?
No. Berths are how many boats you show to buyers (listed on the public website) at the same time, not a limit on how many you can sell. Sell a boat, mark it sold, and that berth opens up for the next one. On Jetty you could sell hundreds of boats a year, as long as you never have more than seven listed at once. Need to show more at a time? Move up a plan.
Does a business listing run out after a set time, like a private one?
No. Private sellers buy a listing for a fixed number of days and extend it. Business listings work differently: there is no clock and nothing to renew per boat. A boat stays in your Showroom for as long as you keep it there. It only comes down when you sell it, withdraw it, or move it back to your Stockroom. You just keep your monthly plan running.
What happens if I miss a payment or stop paying?
Your plan needs to be paid to keep your boats in front of buyers. If a payment fails we will try again and let you know so you can update your card. If it stays unpaid, your listings are taken off the public site, so buyers can no longer see them, until payment is made. We do not delete anything: your full catalogue stays in your account, and the moment your payment goes through your boats go back on the site.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel whenever you like. On a monthly plan, cancelling stops the next payment; there is no refund for the current month. On an annual plan, you can cancel too, but the year you have paid for is not refunded. Either way your catalogue stays in your account if you decide to come back.
Is there really a free period for businesses?
Yes. Because the site is new, businesses get free access until 11 August 2027. Set up your account, add your plan and list your stock, and you pay nothing until then. Join later and you get whatever is left, then your normal monthly or annual plan begins. It is a genuine head start for early businesses.
Does featuring a boat cost an extra berth?
No. A featured boat uses one of your featured slots, not an extra berth. It still counts as one boat a buyer can see. You can feature and unfeature whenever you like at no extra cost.
Can I move my existing stock across?
Yes. Paste a current advert's web address and we draft it for you to review and publish, so moving a whole catalogue across is quick.
Do business listings rank above private ones?
In the featured results, yes: business listings sit above private ones in that promoted band. Everywhere else, listings sit together. In practice it matters less than you might think, because our search does the heavy lifting: buyers filter by make, model, length, engine and more and go straight to the boats that fit. A well-described boat gets found wherever it sits.
What does it cost me on top of the plan?
Nothing. Your flat monthly fee is all you pay Wave and Wake. What and how you charge for selling a boat is your decision, we are not involved in the sale at all.
Can I add my staff or colleagues?
Yes. Each person creates their own free account, then you add them to your business in your business settings, as an admin or a member, so they can work on the same catalogue. You can remove anyone whenever you need to. There is no extra charge for team members.
Can I add video?
Yes. Link your own YouTube or Vimeo videos (you keep the views) or upload clips directly.
